Lev Sivukhin is a dedicated, talented and dynamic musician. He
has combined a rewarding and
fruitful career as an Artistic Director of the Boys and Youth
Choir of the Nizhny Novgorod Choral College, conductor, composer and
professor of the Choral Conducting department at Nizhny
Novgorod State Conservatory. He has led his Boys and Youth
Choir on extensive concert tours throughout Russia and the
Europe. His creative activity is fruitful and diversified and
is highly acclaimed.
His talent and exceptional musical skills have been highly
recognized. He is laureate of six International Choir Competitions.
He is a permanent participant of choral master classes in
Moscow held by Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
in collaboration with Russian choral society and Russian
National House
of Folk Arts. He is Artistic Director of the United Choir of all
Russian competition "Singing Russia" and a member of
jury.
Lev Sivukhin holds full writer membership in the Russian
Society of Composers. His work spans the diversified choral
spectrum with both original works and arrangements for children's
and mixed choirs. His works have been published by printing
house "Soviet Composer". Many Sivukhin's pieces hold
a special place in repertoires of Russian choirs.
For exceptional contribution to the development of Russian
musical culture and promotion of Russian choral art. Lev Sivukhin was awarded the rank of Honoured
Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod and laureate of 6 international Choir
Competitions.
